Fencing Completed!

Safety and maintenance are vital for any school, and as we have grown we’ve added solar panels, toilets, computers, and classroom supplies that we need to sustain the school for our students and staff. It was determined that fencing the school was the next step in maintaining the school’s security. This decision became more vital as the road in front of the school was widened and part of the hillside was removed, exposing raw earth.

To further protect our investments, we needed to preserve the hillside with a wall and we added fencing on top of the wall for property security.

The wall was built by a local builder using small boulders stacked with layers of cement. This became a community project with many of our school families volunteering to carry rock to the site. Once built, it was smoothed with a final layer of cement. The wall protects from erosion, and the wrought iron fence will be added in October for school security.

The project began in June and was completed in early October.
